Tracking the power of participation
The Event Fundraising Monitor is our annual deep-dive into the world of event-based fundraising. It captures how mass participation events are performing across the UK — how many people are taking part, how much they’re raising, and where the big trends and challenges are.
We combine data from leading charities and event organisers with our own sector insight to give a clear picture of what’s working, what’s changing, and where the opportunities lie. Whether you’re planning your next campaign or reviewing your strategy, the EFM is here to help you make informed, confident decisions.
Looking for tailored insight or support with your event strategy?
This year we’re growing the Event Fundraising Monitor for 2026 and opening up membership to a wider range of charities looking to get more out of events fundraising.
Through working with the charities behind the biggest fundraising events, the EFM is a collaborative research programme to benchmark, analyse and forecast trends in events fundraising, and support event fundraisers across the sector.
We work with members to share in-depth benchmarking data and commercial insight, building on the data sharing that already happens for our Top 25 report.
We help charities compare and understand the performance of their fundraising events. Giving them data and insight to support strategic planning without the need to pay external consultants.
Providing access to data through a personalised Power BI dashboard, use of our new AI research tool and a platform for charities to network and communicate, through a combination of in-person discussion-based workshops, and an exclusive online team’s channel.
“Being part of the EFM gives us the chance to understand what’s happening in the events market, what trends are coming down the tracks, and gives us access to the data we need to understand how well we’re performing on all our KPIs in compared to a network of our peers.”
